EVALUATION OF CONTRACEPTIVE METHOD USAGE CHANGES AND SATISFACTION OF WOMEN DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Objective: In addition to being a global epidemic, Coronavirus disease creates some disruptions in the health system, especially family planning services. Our study aimed assess contraceptive method preferences of female patients who applied our university hospital, their satisfaction levels, and whether usage had changed due pandemic.Material Methods: We included 286 aged 18-49 were admitted obstetrics gynecology outpatient clinic between January 2021 April study. conducted descriptive cross-sectional identify women's preferences, complaints about method, information before during pandemic.Results: While 187 (65.4%) women participating used modern traditional methods, 99 (34.6%) did not use any method. found statistically significant decrease oral contraceptives pandemic (p=0.041). number was 83 (29%), pandemic.Conclusion: Family service is one foremost sexual reproductive The factors such as social distance, isolation at home, increased stress have need for Moreover, movement restrictions clinical closures make services, including birth control, less accessible.
